LIVEFUTURES 2020 PRESENTS: A World of Transformation. August 14th 2010.Sydney Australia hosts the festival of Future Stories: Interdisciplinary practitioners of Design, Science & Art for a positive sustainable future. NEXUS CREATIVE, A COLLABORATIVE PROJECT BY FUTURE JOURNEYS, GLOBAL YOUTH FUTURES, THE LIVE FUTURES 2020 FESTIVAL AND THE COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS. Nexus represents collaborations between students and faculties of the University of New South Wales.Sydney, Live Futures 2020 is pleased to announce The Nexus Collaborative, a new project by artists in Sydney, Broken Hill and Byron Bay. For this site-specific project: A World of Transformation, the third in a series of contemporary art exhibitions created by Global Youth Futures and Future Journeys, utilizes The College Of Fine Arts, it's site for the past two years. Live Futures 2020 collaborates deeply with organisations, communities and individuals to build long term mutually beneficial partnerships for Live Futures 2020 to grow, be self-sustainable and create a global network. The festival is a platform for cross-professional, cross-community and cross-disciplinary co-creation of positive futures because we believe that innovation occurs in the accidental meeting space between expertise and focus. Live Futures 2020 inspires innovation and future co-creation by running competitions and awards. A series of talks and workshops will soon be announced. The festival will take place on the 14th of August, between Science week and Design week, as a celebration of achievements and a call to action through collaboration between different industries, exchanging and building knowledge to co-create positive futures.
